Juniper is our current show bitch. Her classical quality has been recognised by a number of gundog judges. In particular specialist judges such as Rui Oliveira (Portugal), Ron James (UK), Marjorie Martorella (USA), and Sue Wilkinson (UK) under whom she won BIS at our NZ POINTER CLUB NATIONAL SPECIALTY in 2009 (pictured here). Sue had this to say about her:- "Very pretty O/W, I loved her on sight. My type. Not too big. Flowed on the move. Well constructed and balanced, so feminine and typical of the breed."Her breeding combines virtually all of our great old lines from her dam (William's sister) and those of Jo Dowthaite's import NZ CH.Freebreeze Romantic Fool at Notting Hill, kindly sent out by Ria Nelis.Thank you Ria and Jo. Roman’s sire is Lynwater Atlantic Crossing of Crookrise who came from the famous A.I. litter bred by Cicely Robertshaw using semen from AM Ch.Bookstor Robert Frost. This was imported by Cicely to link back to her old lines behind Robert Frost, and the resulting litter was the first A.I. litter of Pointers bred in the UK and one of the first of any breed allowed by The Kennel Club. |  |
